Bonuz Wins Best Upcoming Blockchain Innovation Award at Gulf News Web3 Awards 2022
Web3 DeCode, hosted by Gulf News, a two-day event to create awareness of what a digitally-dependent future possibly could look like.
Taking place from 25th to 26th June in the Grand Hyatt Convention Centre in Dubai, many NFT and Metaverse enthusiasts and great minds came together to explore future potentials and how the internet would evolve in the coming digitally dependent era as well as showcase and demonstrate their projects and products.
The event was closed with the region’s very first Web3 awards, honouring innovative and promising projects as well as entrepreneurs and artists. A total of 15 awards were given out to the talents, through a jury consisting of Chimere Cisse, Founder of Art Korero, Ola J. Lind, CEO of FTFT CAPITAL Investments LLC, Nick Vinckier, Head of Corporate Innovation at Chalhoub Group, Renata Morais, Associate Professor of Multimedia Design at Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation, Nicholas Giorgetti, Managing Partner at 2point0 Concepts and Anna Seaman, Art Editor at MORROW Collective. Dr Marwan Al Zarouni, CEO of Dubai Blockchain Center and Abdul Hamid Ahmad, Gulf News CEO and Editor-in-chief, handed over the awards to the winners of the night.
Among the winners of the night were Binance Pay by Binance and Majid Al Futtaim for Best NFT collaboration/Web3.0 project, Carl Runefelt for Best Blockchain Entrepreneur, and Bored Puma for Best Fashion Project. Bonuz prevailed against its fellow competitors Rally and Chiliz in the category Best Upcoming Blockchain Innovation, handed over to UAE-based founder and CEO Matthias Mende. “I have the vision to take over the web3 world and interconnect everything”, supporting his vision to revolutionize the web3 social engagement world.
